According to historical records, the present area of Sereikiskes Park was already developed in the time of Queen Bona. From 1799 to 1919 the area was used for Botanical Gardens – one of the first such public parks in Eastern Europe. In the park grounds, next to the Bernardine Monastery, you can find Vilnius oldest water supply station and potable water laboratory.

Vingis Park is situated at the bend of Neris River and covers an area of 160 hectares. In 1919, the Botanical Garden was established in the former mansion of Vingis Park. Not far from one of the entrances to the Park, there is a classical chapel and a cemetery for German soldiers next to it.

The heart of the Pavilniai Regional Park is the Vilnia valley. The Puckoriai escarpment is a unique geological monument. It is a rare geological feature, an exposure of Ice Age rock formations, created by river erosion. Nearby You can also visit the site of the old water mill, where You‘ll find a network of restaurants and various entertainment, called „Belmontas“.
